the Welcombe Hotel Wedding Photographer
Living through a pandemic where we are unable to photograph many weddings has allowed me the time to go back over some of the weddings I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of over the last few years. This week I delved back into James & jenny’s Welcombe Hotel Wedding.
The whole day took place at the Welcombe Hotel which is always nice to not have to dash between venues. The weather was great and so was the company. I started the day with ‘team bride’ in one of the beautiful grand bedrooms and it was super relaxed which set the tone for the day.
I’m pretty sure Jenny’s infectious smile didn’t leave her face from the moment she woke through to the dance floor. It was certainly present as they tied the knot and James looked proud as punch. Tears were shed by bridesmaids before everyone headed out to enjoy the amazing grounds that the Welcombe Hotel has to offer. Throughout the rest of the day, it was clear that everyone was enjoying each other’s company and basking in the sun. The speed he’s were great and the food didn’t stay on people’s plates for long. Finally, the dance floor showcases some very ambitious moves and a lot of male guests losing their clothes 🙂
Massive thank you to Jenny & James for picking me to be their Welcombe Hotel wedding Photographer.
The Welcombe Hotel Wedding Venue
The Welcombe Hotel is located just outside of Stafford Upon Avon In acres upon acres of the Warwickshire countryside. It’s a grade-II listed building that is filled with grand high ceiling rooms that play the perfect host to your wedding day. When the British weather is on form, the beautifully designed garden is the place to be. There are so many functional rooms in the venue that it allows each part of your wedding to be located in a different spot so that you really get the most of the venue. There are over 80 bedrooms which allow for those guests that want to part well into the night to be able to stay onsite.
Wedding Photography at The Welcombe Hotel
Because the venue is so large (it has like 7 entrances just to give you an idea), there are no shortages of beauty spots for your wedding photography. For the portraits, the garden alone is big enough for loads of different images and if that isn’t enough, the surrounding acres of land will just about do it. Even if you have to stay inside for weather reasons, the Welcombe has many grand rooms with large windows and old historic furniture that make for wonderful images. As mentioned above, because your wedding would be set within multiple rooms, the images will show off lots of the venue as a backdrop to all your laughter and smiles.
