Snap Shots of Las Vegas
At the start of November I had the honour of being flown out to Las Vegas to photograph the wedding of Toni-Anne & Kevin. The whole experience of Vegas was amazing and the wedding will be a highlight of my wedding photography career forever. You can see more of the wedding soon (next in the edit queue) but for now, you can see their pre-wedding engagement shoot we did at Nelson’s Ghost Town here.
One of the reasons this trip was so monumental was the fact I got to take my wife along with me. It was so lovely that we got to share this amazing adventure together. Neither of us had been to the USA before, let alone Las Vegas. I got caught up in the Poker boom in the mid 2000’s and Las Vegas was like the shinning beacon of all things cool for me so i’ve always wanted to go. Ive dreamt of playing poker in a Las Vegas casino for years and I got to fulfil that dream with a big smile on my face (not always a good thing at poker to smile when you have good cards…consider that free tip 🙂 ). I entered a tournament at the Mirage Casino, top tabled and walked away $630 up from that Poker game (see my tips are worth taking on board). We drank cocktails at midday (Strawberry Daiquiri’s are the future), we ate food like it was going out of fashion and we saw sights that qualify me to now be able to say…”Only In America…”. The Vegas strip was everything I wanted it to be and more. Basdically, it was amazing.
I could write so much more about how cool this place was but the truth is, we only scratched the surface. We will 100% be going back to vegas (hopefully shooting another wedding 🙂 ) and can’t wait to explore even more of this epic place.
I obviously had a camera on my during a stay and here’s a few snap shots from Vegas. I hope you like them.
