Simeon & Laura’s Sutton Bonington Wedding

Back in October last year, I met up with Simeon & Laura to do a pre-wed shoot with them. We had a great session and whilst walking around Bradgate park, they filled me in with the details of their day and I must admit, I had been really looking forward to their wedding ever since. Finally, last month, it all happened at the beautiful Sutton Bonington Hall in Loughborough and what a celebration it was.

I had my buddy Darren Gair with me handling second shooting duties and capturing Simeon’s morning at his family home. My day was all at the Hall starting with preparations in the morning, which is one of my favorite partss of the wedding day. The nerves, the excitement & the expectations run high in the mornings and capturing that is so much fun. Laura and ‘team bride’ seem to be pretty relaxed having their hair & Makeup styled by Kay Rhodes and taking it all in their strides and having a great time.

The ceremony was the only part of the day that didn’t go plan. Laura & Simeon had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful gardens of the venue however, the weather had other ideas. Luckily Sutton Bonington’s indoor ceremony room stood in perfectly for their humanist ceremony and some beautiful words were spoken as they became husband and wife in front of a packed room of family and friends.

As the day moved on, the weather picked up and finally the picturesque venue grounds were put to good use. The speeches were very touching and the evening dancing was soundtracked by the awesome The live Wires band.

It was great to be back at Sutton Bonington Hall again and being Laura & Simeon’s Loughborough wedding photographer lived up to all expectations. A cool couple, a great venue & one hell of a wedding. Thanks guys for having me 🙂
