An enchanted woodland outdoor ceremony, a kick-ass brass band, an awesome bride & groom, a gang of guests having the best day and a cool rustic wedding venue. Sounds like the time I got to be Sophie & Matthews Park Farm Wedding Photographer.
I spent my whole day at Park Farm wedding venue starting with morning preparations with Sophie and her team of bridesmaids and bridesmen. As they got wedding ready together, Matthew and his boys did the same inside the farmhouse before he went to meet Sophie for a ‘first look’. I love first looks and wish this American wedding tradition would make its way over to more weddings here. It’s such an honour to be a fly on the wall for that private moment between a couple. I think it eases those ceremony nerves too and watching Matthews’s reaction to seeing Sophie in the beautiful gardens at Park Farm, was a privilege.
Once everyone was ready, we all headed to the wooded ceremony space for a beautiful humanist ceremony, where everyone watched Matthew & Sophie walk each other down the aisle and exchange vows. As the ceremony drew to an end, the cool Heavy Beat Brass Band came in from the back to lead everyone out and start the drinks reception in style. That fun and relaxed feel carried on throughout the rest of the day with the beautiful weather, lovely speeches, self-served street-style food & more brass band for the evening entertainment.
Big thanks go out to Sarah Russel for her MUA skills, Helen Jubb for her Celebrant talents, the awesome food provided by Andy Low N Slow / Levain & Cherry & the thirst-quenching Bubble Caravan Co. The biggest thank you goes to Sophie & Matthew for picking me to be their Park Farm Wedding Photographer
