Miniature Sausage dogs, a serenading groom, secret singers, a Caleigh band & a caricaturist with mad skills are just some of the awesome things Lucy & Mark’s Halstead House, Leicestershire wedding had to offer and I was so happy they chose me to be their wedding photographer.
The day started in the Halstead House cottage where Lucy smashed this getting ready malarky. With no visible signs of nerves, it was so clear she was about to marry the love of her life. Her team of bridesmaids rallied around and together they made looking awesome look easy.
The service was beautiful and went without a hitch. After bubble blowing & confetti, Lucy & Mark’s babies (the before mentioned miniature sausage dogs) came to wish their mum and dad a happy wedding day. I’m a sucker for puppy and couldn’t resist a little play time with them too 🙂
The speeches were beautiful and full of love and then Mark whipped out the guitar and serenaded his wife with some special songs. I’m not ashamed to say that Lucy wasn’t the only one with tears in her eyes and I felt so grateful I got to share and capture that amazing moment. After dinner, just before desert, there was an almighty crash as one of the waitresses hit the deck with a plate full of cutlery…..fear not though, this was not a moment for You’ve Been Frames but rather part of the act as she burst in to song and it was revealed that two of our waitresses had been secret singers. They got the room dancing and Lucy even managed to get a conga going 🙂
The evening went by with organised dancing thanks to a Caleigh band and it was clear everyone had a blast. I loved every second of this wedding and want to thank Lucy & Mark once again for having me as their wedding photographer.
Ive since heard that Halstead house will soon be closing its doors to weddings which is such a shame. Of you are looking for a Leicestershire Wedding Photographer then please drop me a message and lets talk all things weddingy.
