Compton Verney Wedding Photographer
I recently did a family photo shoot with Laura & Rob and upon uploading those images, I realised I never blogged their wedding day and needed to rectify that straight away, as being their Compton Verney Wedding photographer back in 2019 was definitely a highlight from that year. I mean, this wedding answers the age old question of; What happens when you mix an awesome couple, their crazy family and friends, a huge American-style truck, an art gallery and so many smiles? – The Cale wedding of course.
I spent my morning photographing Laura and her bridesmaids at a hotel down the road from Compton Verney, before popping over to Rob for some groom shots. Both of them were relaxed and I knew from the start this was going to be a fun and relaxed day. I arrived at Compton Verney wedding venue to a packed-out ceremony room where Rob was waiting for Laura. We didn’t have to wait long as Laura drove down the long drive in a MASSIVE truck. Talk about making an entrance like no other. The ceremony was beautiful and tearful. These guys didn’t mind showing their emotions and it was perfect. The afternoon was spent basking in the sun before heading in for food and speeches. Those were equally as joyful and tearful as the ceremony. The evening didn’t disappoint and the dance floor was jammed from start to finish.
It was great to shoot alongside my friend at BlueRidge Videography and I want to thank Laura & Rob for choosing me to be their Compton Verney Wedding Photographer.
About Compton Verney Wedding Venue
At its core, Compton Verney is an award-winning art gallery, however, Its best-kept secret is that it also plays host to weddings and this Warwickshire wedding venue is set upon 120 acres of beautiful parkland and a stunning lake. There are multiple rooms inside the venue that are registered to host wedding ceremonies but the jewel in the crown is the gorgeous white-walled Adam Hall. This beautiful bright room is the largest and is also perfect for the evening reception. The outside courtyard of the manor building is the perfect spot to host afternoon drinks in the sun with the grand manor building standing proudly behind. It’s the kind of venue that needs a viewing as words on the page don’t do it justice.
Wedding Photography at Compton Verney
Inside and out, Compton Verney wedding venue offers loads of space and so many places to create beautiful wedding photography. From the trees and open grassland to the stunning lake, the outside of the venue is the perfect spot for a romantic walk for some creative wedding portraits. The beautiful courtyard and inside rooms are a great setting to capture your guests enjoying the day. These natural moments and candid images are what I love to create and you will get loads of images of your guests enjoying what Compton Verney has to offer. The large ceremony room is lovely and bright, which is great for nice clean crisp images of such an important part of the wedding day. If the worst happens and it rains on your Compton Verney wedding day, because of the rooms available inside, there’s plenty of space to do group shots, portraits and still have variety in locations. I would say the lack of onsite accommodation is the only thing missing from this great Warwickshire wedding venue.
