Avoncroft Museum Wedding Photography
Naomi & James were a wedding photographers delight and getting to be their Avoncroft Museum Wedding Photographer was fantastic. From the moment I arrived with Naomi in the morning, it was clear this was going to be a chilled day full of laughter and that’s exactly what it was. I had the pleasure of nipping between both Naomi & James in the morning and the excitement was in the air at both camps.
We arrived at Avoncroft Museum to a packed out ceremony room where they got married under fairy lights, in the grand Guesten Hall. As soon as they said their ‘I Do’s’ and walked back down the aisle, a party atmosphere filled Avoncroft that didn’t let up until the last guest left.
We did have a battle with the weather on the day, with the sun and the rain jostling for top spot however, at no point did that ruin anything for anyone. We dodged showers to explore the grounds and made some beautiful wedding photos using the lush greenery and the unique historic buildings that the Museum has to offer. Naomi, James & some of their guests even took an open-air train ride with umbrellas in tow.
The evening reception took the party vibes up ten levels with an epic full dance floor from start to finish. I can tell you one thing for sure, some pretty sweet moves were thrown around that night 🙂
Massive thank you to Naomi & James for letting be their Avoncroft Museum Wedding Photographer. What a couple, what a day 🙂
About AvonCroft Museum Wedding Venue
As a wedding venue, Avoncroft Museum is pretty unique. How many other wedding venues can you name that have over 30 historical buildings within its grounds that can be explored by you and your guests throughout the day. From blacksmiths quarters to prison cells, this wonderful open-air museum truly offers something different.
Avoncroft Museum is located in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and perfect for those looking for a venue in the heart of the UK. It’s a great setting for civil ceremonies and wedding receptions even without the restored buildings dotted around the 19 acres of countryside it occupies. The main Guesten Hall, with its Grade II listed roof, plays host to the main parts of your day. The ceremony, food and evening receptions are all hosted here. You can even have blessings done at the old mission church located on-site. As mentioned, after the ceremony, the open-air museum is open to explore and experience. There’s even a sit on a train that can take your guests on a ride.
Your AvonCroft Museum Wedding Photography
One thing for sure is that that there is no shortage of weird and wonderful places for your wedding photos at Avoncroft Museum. The beautiful green countryside where the museum sits is just stunning and couple that with the quirky historical buildings, you have endless places for wedding portraits and family formals. As for the more natural shots, the more fun your guests are having, the better those pictures are, so having plenty to do onsite will only help with that. During the formal parts of the day, the main hall has a rustic feel to it and this always makes for great pictures.
