Peak District Engagement Photoshoot

Ruby & Mark added a pre-wed session to their wedding package and earlier this year, we headed out to capture their Peak District engagement photoshoot. They brought their puppy along with them and Ruby was also sporting a baby bump, making this shoot a kind of pre-wed, maternity style, hybrid-engagement, pet shoot…well, something like that anyway 🙂

The Peak District is one of my favourite locations in the UK to take engagement photos and I’ve also had the pleasure of shooting a number of Peak District weddings. Each time I visit the area I’m wowed by the views and rolling landscapes. My hometown is pretty flat, so the hills and valleys of Peak District really get me excited to shoot in.

We timed the engagement session to coincide with the sunset and picked two places to get some cool shots. The first was inside a forest area and the second was on top of some huge hills. We wanted as much variety as possible in a short 2-hour shoot and I think we got it.
