As I sat down to write this, looking back at week 6 it really seemed like a non-eventful kind of week. But the more I thought about it, there have been a few little wins that have made me smile.

I have booked a few more weddings this week for 2021 and had some lovely chats with new couples. I’ve also managed to rearrange some more 2020 weddings to new dates next year. It is such a challenging time for everyone and the support of my couples has been amazing. I’ve also created some automated steps and changed some things in my general daily workflow which I know will be priceless come the busy wedding times again.

The inner child in me has burst with excitement with the release of Streets of Rage 4 on the PS4. I’m pretty sure anyone similar in age to me that had a Mega Drive will remember the frustration and joy of battling crime-ridden streets to get to Mr X in the original game. 26 years after the last game was released, I found myself on the same virtual streets swearing at the screen and secretly crying into my pillow. To add to this, I found out a Predator game was released recently too and have downloaded that ready to obsess with this coming week. Truth be told, I’m not really a gamer and only play a handful of them sparingly, so to have two at once is pretty rare. What’s even rarer is actually having the time to play them. Every cloud hey 🙂

We had our boy’s school reports emailed through this week too. We couldn’t be prouder of them and what their teachers have said. Turns out they are just little shits for us at home, they seem to be angels at school. That’s obviously not really true and we’re also proud of how they have adapted to lockdown life. Yes, it would be nice if they did a little more school work however, they have not really moaned once that they can’t go out or do some of the things we like to do.

I’ve put my Poker hat on again over the last few weeks. Me and few photographer friends have been playing via Zoom and it’s been super fun. I’ve also played a few hands on the Poker sites and I’m not bankrupt yet. 🙂

So like I said, nothing major has happened this week but we are still here, still healthy and finding the little things to keep us sane.
