Family Videos – Part 1
Let me start by saying, I’m no Kubrick. What you are about to watch is not Citizen Kane.
Video is a completely different art form to photography and I am not a videographer at all. With all that said, recently I got inspired by a small group of photographer friends that have all dipped their toes into the video world. Some have dipped so far they are now doing video professionally but for the most part, they have been filming some personal projects of their family and I couldn’t help but want to try it myself. I adore taking pictures of my family and creating pictures I know we will all look at in years to come and laugh, cry and just be thankful. Now we get to watch ourselves too and no doubt cringe.
Here are my first two attempts. The bottom video I actually filmed first (it shows). It was a simple craft hour (dont worry the video isn’t an hour 🙂 ) with my wife and the kids. We said goodbye to our dog, Indy, shortly after this was filmed so having her in the film is extra special for us. The second was an afternoon out at the Butterfly farm and I enjoyed the processes much more.
Ladies and gentlemen, more of my family
Such a beautiful way to capture your memories, Jonathan, and some amazing moments to treasure for the rest of your lives. Loved the leaf cutter ants, and the end clip of your boys in the car asleep was the perfect end to the film. Looking forward to seeing more!
