What a way to round off my family photo shoots for the year… an outdoor session during Hurricane Abigail!
I met Kelly whilst I was photographing a Dance festival she organised back in early October. Her daughter Tilly kept running in and out of my portable studio for various photos in all these super cool outfits and I think overall, she probably had the most photos taken of any child at the event. It was lovely to get an email from Kelly afterwards wanting to book me for a lifestyle family photoshoot. Timings were tight and between us we only had this one Saturday to shoot so that the images could be done before Christmas. The English weather is unpredictable at the best of times however, finding out we would be shooting during the first ever named Hurricane in British history was a turn up for the books. Hey, at least it wasn’t raining.
We used the trees as much as possible to shade us from the winds and luckily we managed to get the last of the autumn colours before the winter gloom kicked in. Kelly, Emma, Tilly and Sam were a pleasure to photograph and we had a great time wondering around Bosworth Battlefield capturing some lovely smiles.
