New Camera Day – Fuji XT-2

Happy New Camera day to me, Happy New Camera Day to me, Happy…….You get the idea 🙂
Ask any photographer, getting a new camera has the same excitement attached to it as a child gets for Christmas morning. For me, that day came last week when my Fuji XT-2 camera arrived.

For weddings I’m still a Canon shooter and at the moment I wouldn’t consider swapping to a mirrorless system for pro work however, for a personal walk-around camera, these bad boys are perfect. I owned the Fuji XT-1 and whilst I enjoyed using it, I always felt like I was missing the moment due to a strange lag between shots. During my trip to the Isle Of Skye earlier this year, I got to play on an XT2 and was so happy to find that lag had disappeared from the new model and have been weighing up getting one ever since. I finally bit the bullet and clicked to buy last week.

Below are images from my first outings with the camera this last weekend. On Saturday my wife, kids, friends and myself took walk around Coombe Abbey & then on Sunday, the four of us took a trip to Birdland in Leicestershire for the first time. Two lovely days and a nice way to test out the camera and get used to shooting on it.

All shot with the Fuji 23mm 1.4 on the XT-2 body.
