The Bers…Halloween To Christmas
As a kid I remember entering ‘The Bers’ was always exciting as it signalled the run up to Christmas had started. Christmas was always the high point or the end game, but on the way to it you had to tick off Halloween, Bonfire Night, my birthday (I assume you all celebrate that one), my mums birthday (obviously a high point on everyones calendar) and then Christmas could happen. It felt like all the big parts of the year happened in ‘The Bers’ which made it the best part of the year for me. I included September in the ‘Bers’ purely by name alone as the only thing that happened in that month was going back to school after the summer holidays and that was never something to be excited about. As an adult I now appreciate September for the same reason I didn’t like it as a kid…the kids go back to school 🙂 but I also love it because the first signs of Autumn come in. Autumn, with all the cosiness it brings and the awesome colours, is something that I really love as an adult and by October I’m fully embracing the jumpers, the relaxing vibes and the hygge. I’m not 100% sure where I’m going with this to be honest. I guess I’m saying I still love ‘The Bers’, Autumn is the best time of the year and Christmas rules.
So with that said, here’s some pictures from ‘The Bers’ this year. Starting with a October half-term holiday near the Welsh borders, a Halloween party, Bonfire night, a visit to Luminate at Coombe Abbey, a trip to Lapland UK and finally Christmas with the family.
